Lions: Roars and Catnaps
Through the lion's gate, we have fully entered Leo season, all Meow! big bursts of energy and luxurious naps. Drawing down into late summer, the storms, heat, bugs and creativity are high on the horizon.
I learn a lot about myself by watching cats. They can be intensely playful, ferocious hunters, with a focus for both large and small prey. And when they want love, they ask...or demand. When ready for rest they just go for it, somehow managing grace with need and disregard for appropriateness. What a fantastic mirror!
I am inviting this energy into conscious play, taking this medicine of realness to the next level. Personally, this is a scrub down of an old tendency to judge myself about rest, calling myself lazy when I'm not in do mode. This morning, I reflected on the fact that I haven't written here as often as I planned. I had a hugely productive onset with designing the website, cranking out content and facebook, etc. Then, I turned my attention to other things.
Balance. A verb, right? I had dreaming to do. I had cleaning, primping, stalking, prancing and eating to do. Oh, and catnapping.
I approached the keyboard this time not really knowing what to share. So, I looked in the mirror. And this lioness looked through my eyes with curiosity and an empowered sense of self, purpose, place. All in Divine timing. I'm grateful for the reminder to trust.

I sure do love your writing! Lot’s of visuals. All your Cat references reminded me of the time we were in the Yucatán in Mexico, and the taxi driver heard your name “ Star “( Estrella ), and said that we had to visit the old Maya-Yucatec archeological site named Ek Balam. He said the Mayan translation was Black Star Jaguar. We were intrigued, and so we did travel to visit it. And it was AMAZING!!
Keep writing, it triggers cool thoughts and feelings in me. 😊
